Cancellations within 24 hours or ‘no shows’ will be charged at full price. This is to cover the loss of earnings from that appointment that we cannot fill at such short notice. Compared to classic lash extensions, where you only attach one eyelash extension to each natural lash, Russian Volume Lashes (also known as 2D – 6D lashes) breaks through that limitation by having anywhere from two to five super fine extensions applied to a single natural eyelash, SAFELY. This has only been made possible thanks to recent technological advancements in the lash extensions manufacturing process, which has enabled manufacturers to create super light and super fine extensions. In fact, these extensions are so light, that 4 x 0.07 thickness (4D Russian Volume Lashes) extensions put together weigh less than 1 x 0.15 thickness (Standard Classic Lash) extension on it own. The method for applying these super light extensions is by creating a fan consisting of anywhere from two to five extensions that are then carefully attached to a single natural lash. This technique allows for a whopping 500 or more extensions to be applied per eye and gives an incredibly dense and lush look. The best part is, because they’re so light you’re hardly able to feel you’re wearing any eyelash extensions at all! Of course not everyone wants 6D and 600+ extensions applied to each eye which is why Russian Volume Lashes can be tailored to each clients desired look. i.e, 2D, 3D, 4D, 5D, and 6D with varying extension lengths, thicknesses and curls. Not to mention the fans themselves can be made wide, medium or narrow. The end result, a truly bespoke Russian Volume Lash look.
Approximately 4-6 weeks if you respect your new lashes and take care of them. A real lash’s life cycle is around 25-28 days, and as yours grow and fall out, so will the synthetic ones that are attached. Your life style and what work you do will also make a difference how long they last. A ladies lashes working in the food industry where there is a lot of heat, steam and oil may not last as well as a lady who works in an air conditioned office.
For a Classic set, a single natural eyelash is isolated. Synthetic (silk) lashes are then applied to your natural eyelash approximately 1mm from the eyelid so neither the glue or the lash has contact with the skin. For a Russian Volume set, two to five super lightweight synthetic (silk) lashes are applied to one of your natural lashes in handmade fans, again, 1mm from the eyelid.
Yes as eyelash extensions are applied to the natural lash never touching the skin. However, in extreme cases reactions can occur. If you have concerns please get in contact.
Yes, at any time for any reason they can be removed however there will be a removal charge of $25.

It's a lifting technique designed to give you longer-looking lashes without the need for lash extensions. It will look as if you used a really good eyelash curler, only this lift lasts for 6 to 8 weeks! To top off the treatment, I'll apply a black lash tint which really makes your lashes look more prominent. The procedure takes about 45 to 60 mins to complete. It really is an easy way to instantly brighten and open up the eye area!

Lash extensions and lash lifts are 2 totally different animals. I will not be adding any additional lashes to you. I will simply be curling your natural lashes. That said, for most, it can make your lashes appear fuller because they are so uplifted.
Pretty simple: Don't get your lashes wet or apply anything at all to them for 24 hours.
None at all! You don't have to do anything special with your lashes in between lifts.
Of course! You'll just achieve a more dramatic effect when mascara is applied to your curled lashes.
No. The lifting solutions are only applied to the new growth area of the lashes, down towards the base and up a bit. Never to the ends of the lashes.
I have found, on occasion, that it's very difficult and sometimes not possible to sustain the curl with lashes that have a strong cowlick or slanted growth pattern. Also, growth patterns due to plastic surgery in the eye area are often not able to be corrected. I say, give the treatment a shot once, and let's see how your lashes hold the curl.
No. At first, when I'm applying the shields to the eyelids, it may feel a bit strange. But, for the most part, it's very relaxing!

If your wedding is overseas, I require flights and two nights accomodation paid for, however your makeup will be free of charge for up to five people.

This is a subtle technique suitable for anyone, but especially women who have lost the definition of their vermilion border due to ageing, smoking, lip fillers etc. It is also for women that have quite pale lips and would like the colour restored. It is an alternative to lip fillers as stimulation increases collagen in the skin which can make lips appear more plump. The tattoo doesn’t just go around your lip like traditional lip-liner. We will do an outline on the border of the lip, but also shade the colour down into the middle of the lip to give it a more blended look. We have various colours in our range for you to choose from. We can colour match your favourite, everyday lip colour, or you can be guided by us to hep choose a suitable colour. Healing time is around 6 days. Lip tattoo can last anywhere between 1-7 years depending on what your desired outcome is.

A one-on-one lesson where I will apply a full face of makeup on you while you watch and learn. You can choose to learn a day or night look. I will write down a full list of products I’ve used, as well as any recommendations based on your skin type. I will talk you through how to choose foundation suitable to your undertones, and colours suitable for the rest of your face (eyeshadow, blush, etc). The product list can be tailored to your budget, and you can ask as many questions as you want throughout the lesson. You will take home a test pot of foundation and lipstick used on you during the lesson.
A two to three hour, one on one lesson on a model where you choose a look of mine to recreate. I will apply half the face, and you will apply the other half. I will go in depth on how I create my looks, and what products and brushes I use. You will be free to ask any questions - makeup and business related! I will also show you how I take pictures, as well as give you lighting and social media tips and tricks.

OMBRÉ:
This technique has been around for decades, but has been gradually improving over the years. The ombré powder fill method is more like a traditional tattoo, and involves the application of thousands of tiny dots of pigment, inserted into the skin, gradually building up a colour and defined shape. This results in a beautiful, full tail, and faded front to give a more natural appearance.
Ombré powder fill brows use a more traditional tattooing method, with longer lasting results, and works with most skin types, including oily or combination skin. Clients come back for colour boosts closer to the 12-18month mark. The brow is also fuller and more defined or dramatic than with the hairstroke method.
Who is it best for: If you are someone with oily or combination skin, or who fills in your brows regularly with pencil or shadow, then this is the method for you! It mimics the look of filled in brows, without all the effort each morning.
POWDER:
Powder is very similar to ombré, however the whole brow is saturated in colour instead of having a faded front.
Powder is great for clients who are used to wearing a lot of makeup, or currently fill their brows in heavily most days. It is perfect for all skin types, and an excellent treatment for those with brows that start very far apart, or brows with very little/no natural hair at the front.
COMBINATION:
Combination brows are a combination of feather touch/microblading and powder brows. There are microblading hair-like strokes from the beginning to the middle of the brow to give the brow a natural look, which then transitions to a powdered effect in the body and tail of the brow. This gives the brow more fullness and density towards the ends.
All appointments include two treatments. Your second appointment is a perfecting visit where we make necessary adjustments . This appointment must be done no less then 4 weeks and no more then 8 weeks apart. If you have little to no natural brow hair, you may require a third appointment at a additional cost. This will be discussed with you at your first appointment consultation.
Yes you can wear makeup on the day to your appointment if you wish, however please try ad keep it minimal. Your Artist will remove what she needs to before she starts.
We use anaesthetics to numb the treatment area before and during the procedure which makes each treatment pretty comfortable for you. Each client experiences pain differently. We manage each client accordingly to keep you as pain free as possible.
The first couple of days they will appear darker then your chosen colour. This is because the pigment hasn't healed under the skin yet. The best time to have a look at the colour is two weeks after your first appointment. The colour will then be much softer and settled in the skin. Your artist will go through the full healing process with you in your consultation.
We have a huge range of colours to suited each individuals skin tone plus hair colour. The colour is chosen together with yourself and the artist. Your artist will recommend and show you colours close to your natural brow hair colour for the perfect blend. If you tint your brows because they are too blonde, grey, white etc, then you will need to continue to tint them after they are tattooed as the cosmetic tattoo only colours the skin behind the hairs, not the hairs themselves. We recommend to wait at least 3 weeks after the procedure before tinting them again.
We recommend 12 monthly colours boosts with our Microblading option. Ombré and Powdered brows last longer in the skin so you will get more like 18 months before needing your colour boost.
Emma will go over each option with you in the consultation. If you have a read through the different tattoo options above, you will be able to narrow it down by personal preference and lifestyle in the info. Microblading options are not recommended for extremely oily skins, or for clients that are working out a lot as it will fade quicker. Powdered brows are more suited for oily skins and hide larger areas for the brow reconstruction on clients with large areas of hair loss.
No we recommend you to leave them if you can as you may remove more then we need. Your artist will do a full custom brow shape before the treatment.
Unfortunately we can not do the procedure if you are pregnant. If you are nursing you will need to express for 24 hours after the treatment before feeding again.
You must begin preparing for your treatment seven to ten days before hand. This ensures your blood is the right consistency, your skin is well prepared and you will heal with no problems. You must avoid:
- All forms of Caffeine (Coke, energy drinks) and alcohol
- Ibuprofen and Aspirin
- Fish/Krill/Evening Primrose oil
- Spices that thin the blood; cinnamon, turmeric etc.
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning products on the tattoo area 30 days before your treatment and for two weeks after your appointment. If you are sun burnt on the tattoo area we can not perform the treatment on you
- If you have high/low blood pressure, or any heart conditions you must let us know as soon as possible. You will need your doctors permission to carry out the treatment, and if approved, stop taking any blood thinning medication at least one week prior to your appointment
- Botox and fillers should be carried out at least two months before your treatment and no sooner than three weeks after your follow up appointment as it can alter the way your cosmetic tattoo sits
- Chemical peels should be carried out at least 60 days before your appointment and no sooner than 60 days after the procedure, always avoid the tattooed area. If you do frequent facial peels, your cosmetic tattoo has a higher chance of fading
- Avoid the use of Retinol, Vitamin C, and Glycolic Acid products around the tattooed area for as long as you can before your appointment, and for a further six weeks after the touch up appointment
Lip tattoo additional preparation:
Please start moisturising your lips ASAP with lip balm to hydrate the lips as it is very hard to implant ink into dry lip skin. If the lip skin is too dry at the time of appointment, it may result in your appointment being rescheduled. Please purchase Lysine supplement from your local pharmacy to start taking ASAP, and until after your follow up has been completed. High Lysine levels in the body will help the prevention of cold sore breakouts.
If you are prone to cold sores, we do recommend getting antiviral medication from your GP prior to your appointment in case of a breakout during the healing period of your tattoo.
-You must apply a generous layer of Emla numbing cream (this can be purchased at most pharmacies) to the brow or lip area, and then cover with small rectangles of glad wrap over the cream to stop it from drying out one hour before your appointment. Applying Emla cream before your appointment is highly recommended to help with pain management.
- Please make sure your cell phone is on silent when you are in the treatment room
- Please do not wear white to the appointment to avoid any pigment staining your clothing
- Please do not come chewing gum as it does cause your face to move during treatment
- As a health and safety precaution for our insurances, only the client is allowed in the treatment room during the treatment
- During the consultation, feel free to ask all questions and concerns you may have about your cosmetic tattoo. Make sure the tattoo is something you are 100% certain about as this is a permanent/semi-permanent procedure. If you change your mind during the procedure the $100 deposit is non-refundable
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOUR COSMETIC TATTOO APPOINTMENT?
Your Brows will be healing for the next 4-6 weeks and you will need to purchase fragrance free baby wipes and After Art which is available to purchase in store at the time of your appointment for $15 (NOT Bepanthen or Pawpaw ointment) for your after care. The first two weeks are most vital and your brows will go through a bit of a roller-coaster process. Straight after your appointment they will be very dark and bold, feeling like they steal all the attention from your face. As they heal over the next couple days the colour does fade down, and the itchiness and flaking begins. You will notice dead skin, pigment, and occasionally hair coming out of your brows, this is normal and all a part of your body’s natural healing process. After a few days you will notice your brows beginning to form a scab and the colour will look a lot duller, this is due to your skin pushing out all the damaged/dead skin cells and gives a "frosted window" effect to your brows tattoo covering up the pigment. You will notice your brow colour coming back as your skin heals and you get closer to the two week mark. In the first two weeks of getting your cosmetic tattoo you must:
- Avoid soap and or cleansers around the treatment area.
- Make up (excluding brow products) can be worn after your treatment. Please avoid using any brow products for at least two weeks after having both your initial appointment and follow up completed.
- When going into the sun, apply sunscreen or products containing SPF on your brows. Exposure to the sun can cause fading and colour change over time. Do not expose your brows to the sun for the first two weeks.
- Do not go swimming in sea water or chlorine treated water for the first two weeks. Cover your brows with Vaseline when swimming in salt or chlorine water to avoid a bleaching effect.
- Chemicals of any kind can interfere with the healing and colour of your new tattoo. Glycolic acid and face peel must be kept away from your tattoo as it has been reported to lighten the colour with constant, continued use.
AFTERCARE STEPS
Please remember it takes a full six weeks for your brows to heal. Your brows may feel healed but it is important to continue to follow all our aftercare steps during this time.
- Using a baby wipe, wipe your brows firmly every 15 minutes for the first hour after your appointment
- After the hour, wipe your brows with a baby wipe and apply After Art hourly for the rest of the first day. When applying the After Art, coat the brow in a thin layer with one end of your cotton tip, then with the other end run back through to remove the excess cream
- Before bed, apply a thin layer of After Art to the brows and cover with glad wrap to protect your brows while you sleep (this is for the first night only)
- For the next two days you will need to wipe your brows and apply After Art 4 times per day (morning, lunch, dinner, and before bed)
- On day three, stop using the wipes and only apply After Art morning & night for the remainder of the two weeks. This is when your brows will start to scab
- From week three apply After Art every night before bed until your follow up appointment

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOUR COSMETIC TATTOO APPOINTMENT?
After your treatment, your lips will weep a clear fluid - this is to be expected. Wipe firmly to remove this fluid. Please be aware, leaving this to dry will cause premature scabbing and discomfort.
The initial swelling can be obvious but usually subsides within 24-48 hours, however this can last a little longer in some cases where clients lips are fuller. Cold compresses or icepacks can help with the swelling if necessary.
Your lips will be very tender and dry, it is vital that you keep them moist with After Art.
AFTER CARE STEPS
- Immediately after your tattoo treatment, wipe your lips (every 10 minutes) for an hour.
- Once the hour has passed, continue to wipe your lips, and apply a thin layer of After Art every hour for the remainder of the day.
- From day 2 onwards, wipe the lips with a baby wipe and apply After Art 4x a day (morning, lunch, dinner & before bed) to keep them hydrated.
- Around day 3-7 days the dry skin on your lips should start to flake off. During this time, it is vital that you do not pick the flakes or dry skin off your lips, and let them fall off naturally.
- If by chance you happen to break out in an excessive amount of cold sores, please stop all aftercare and focus on treating the cold sore virus by visiting your local pharmacy. If any unusual redness, excessive itchiness, tenderness or swelling appear on the tattooed area please give us or your GP a call immediately.

Brow Lamination is is like lash lift for your brows! Keratin protects the hair while vitamin complexes and nourishing oils work from the root to restore mechanical damage and sun exposure. The main outcome however, is thicker fluffier brows.
Brow lamination changes the direction of the hair from the root and they can therefore be brushed up into the direction desired.

Yes, I can travel as far as you like at your expense. I have a salon in the centre of Palmerston North that I prefer to work from. If you are a bridal party, you are more than welcome to bring your hairdresser, friends, family, platter, and bubbles to my salon on your big day. Otherwise, on location costs around Palmerston North/Feilding are $100. If your wedding is overseas, I require flights and two nights accomodation paid for, however your makeup will be free of charge for up to five people.

Compared to classic lash extensions, where you only attach one eyelash extension to each natural lash, Russian Volume Lashes (also known as 2D – 6D lashes) breaks through that limitation by having anywhere from two to five super fine extensions applied to a single natural eyelash, SAFELY. This has only been made possible thanks to recent technological advancements in the lash extensions manufacturing process, which has enabled manufacturers to create super light and super fine extensions. In fact, these extensions are so light, that 4 x 0.07 thickness (4D Russian Volume Lashes) extensions put together weigh less than 1 x 0.15 thickness (Standard Classic Lash) extension on it own. The method for applying these super light extensions is by creating a fan consisting of anywhere from two to five extensions that are then carefully attached to a single natural lash. This technique allows for a whopping 500 or more extensions to be applied per eye and gives an incredibly dense and lush look. Approximately 4-6 weeks if you respect your new lashes and take care of them. A real lash’s life cycle is around 25-28 days, and as yours grow and fall out, so will the synthetic ones that are attached. Your life style and what work you do will also make a difference how long they last. A ladies lashes working in the food industry where there is a lot of heat, steam and oil may not last as well as a lady who works in an air conditioned office.
For a Classic set, a single natural eyelash is isolated. Synthetic (silk) lashes are then applied to your natural eyelash approximately 1mm from the eyelid so neither the glue or the lash has contact with the skin. For a Russian Volume set, two to five super lightweight synthetic (silk) lashes are applied to one of your natural lashes in handmade fans, again, 1mm from the eyelid.

Yes, at any time for any reason they can be removed however there will be a removal charge of $25.

It's a lifting technique designed to give you longer-looking lashes without the need for lash extensions. It will look as if you used a really good eyelash curler, only this lift lasts for 6 to 8 weeks! To top off the treatment, I'll apply a black lash tint which really makes your lashes look more prominent. The procedure takes about 45 to 60 mins to complete. It really is an easy way to instantly brighten and open up the eye area!

Lash extensions and lash lifts are 2 totally different animals. I will not be adding any additional lashes to you. I will simply be curling your natural lashes. That said, for most, it can make your lashes appear fuller because they are so uplifted.
Pretty simple: Don't get your lashes wet or apply anything at all to them for 24 hours.
None at all! You don't have to do anything special with your lashes in between lifts.
Of course! You'll just achieve a more dramatic effect when mascara is applied to your curled lashes.
No. The lifting solutions are only applied to the new growth area of the lashes, down towards the base and up a bit. Never to the ends of the lashes.
I have found, on occasion, that it's very difficult and sometimes not possible to sustain the curl with lashes that have a strong cowlick or slanted growth pattern. Also, growth patterns due to plastic surgery in the eye area are often not able to be corrected. I say, give the treatment a shot once, and let's see how your lashes hold the curl.
